Welcome New Tribe and We Got Knocked Down But We Got Up Again!
Hey Tribe!
Thanks to our recent ad campaign on Facebook and Instagram, we want to welcome a slew of new folks to The Tribe. Welcome, brothers and sisters! For the current Tribe, as a reminder, you currently still get a 10% discount with code METAL (because our Tribe gets stuff) to receive our smooth AF Vodka and Rye Whiskey! You can order it for others as well - what better gift for Halloween?!
For the newbies, normally we use the weekly Tribal Update to share news and pics from our area events, give concert updates, talk about local bars, restaurants in and around Florida, give Metal Spirits discounts to our Tribe, and the best part - share the pics you send us or tag us in from all around "Murica.
Onward...
This week though, here's something rarely said in this update - enough about Metal Spirits...
One year ago today, that bastard, Ian, dropped a bomb on southwest Florida. Hurricane Ian was a monster, category 5 hurricane with sustained winds of 160 mph. Our coastline was decimated and more importantly, we lost over 150 lives during this storm. It was, like I said, a bastard.
As relative newbies to SW FL (2018), this was our first hurricane. We ended up being just fine but as the internet came back up, the images and videos came flooding in and we were horrified to see what happened to those in Forty Myers beach, Lee County in general and also here in Naples.
Even with this devastation, what was and is most amazing is the indomitable spirt of the bad ass humans in southwest Florida. Most people mention the winter weather as the draw to our area. To me, we came down for the culture, political climate (live and let live) - basically you all - the people - our Tribe.
It's an absolute honor to know you, support you, work side by side with you, rebuild and build back better - but for real! ;-) Our community rocks and we love you all. For those who may have lost loved ones our thoughts and prayers are with you. For those who lost property, we are with you as well.
But no matter what, our community helps each other, builds back and always carries on! Thanks, you bad asses.
That's it for this week. Next week we begin our trip to California for the festival of the year. Have a great weekend, Tribe!
Cheers!
