Different Tribes, Different Vibes, What is Responsible About Rock-N-Roll(?) and Do or Die Time!
Hey Tribe!
Happy Thirsty Rock-N-Roll Thursday! We hope you're having a kick ass week and are ready for a Metal Spirit or two. Freshly back from a crazy concert weekend, while it's all rock-n-roll, we think we're best suited for the harder, faster stuff!
Onward...
Overall, we enjoyed our time in Tampa experiencing the Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown show. Let's start there. We met some great people and the music was very good. That said, when a disproportionate group of adults are fall down drunk and/or belligerent, it's a little disappointing.
Someone recently came up to me, citing our mantra of "Liberty, Responsibility and Rock-N-Roll" and asked me "What's responsible about rock-n-roll?!" I replied there is nothing more individually responsible than creating music. Creating a song that people remember and love forever is one of the ultimate acts of individual creativity and the person or people creating that magic from nothing are solely responsible for that. That's pretty cool!
Additionally, though, we are adults. Have fun, have some cocktails, and enjoy the show, but also act responsibly! Metal heads get a bad rap a lot of times, but in all my years going to metal shows, the crowds have been overwhelmingly welcoming, supportive, energetic, and yes, responsible. Maybe we just had a bit of bad luck and we still will enjoy our country music, but for our dimes, I think we'll stick with the hard, fast, aggressive concerts for the remainder of the year!
Back in Naples, it looked and sounded like our Tribe had an awesome time at the Aerosmith Tribute show brought to you by Pandora's Box!
It was a pleasure sponsoring this show with Seed to Table and we definitely had some FOMO going on. We're glad our close Tribe got to enjoy our VIP table though and spread the Metal Spirits love! Thanks Tribe!
Lastly, if you're in the Fort Myers area this Saturday, the Metal Spirits Baseball team is fighting for their lives in the SWFL643 Premier League. It's do or die at Jet Blue Park, starting at 10:00 AM. Admission is free so come on out and enjoy some quality playoff baseball!
That's it for this week Tribe. See you tonight for Rock-N-Roll Thursday at Seed To Table, featuring The Echo!
Cheers!
